Lighting... spiderman? Annalise thought, but didn't express her confusion. Instead, she said, "Lightning? Cool!" she exclaimed, really meaning it. "I can put on bursts of superhuman speed."

The girl nodded and put out her spider man hand symbol thing and pointed at the tree and shocked it, "Voici, spiderman!"

"Cool!" In truth, Annalise was glad that she wasn't in the tree's place. She swung her legs, flinching slightly when they slammed against the legs of the bench.

"You play the drums? That's cool!" Annalise exclaimed, being sincere. She was terrible at music -- some people called her singing as bad as a frog's croaking. And, the one time she tried to play the recorder, the whole class had clapped their hands over their ears, including the teacher.
